Hey buddies !
It's been a week (already?) and I can say i'm starting to get used to live here. Not that I can live in the japanese way (spaghetti for breakfast, i can't yet ) but everything's going quite smoothly. I'm starting to go out (it's even earlier than in the US, unbelievable ! ), taking my habits in the morning. Yes, it is very important for my mood (not for me, of course) to have a nice wake up. If my mood isn't happy with the breakfast or the shower, then i'll have a bad day trying to deal with it; even worse than those of the people i'll be bad with ! (oooh, can't even read what i just wrote without thinking that my english is poor, sorry about that. Hey, i'm french after all, i'm not supposed to speak english, you should be able to read in french
!!!). And about that, I already apologize if the french version is coming late or not at all, it takes time to do it...
So, as i was saying, breakfast is important. And, good thing, the residence i live in, serves quite good ones. Despite the fact that I've been unabled to get my glass of "Minute maid prenium" for 2 days (can't they just go buy some more ???), there is a large choice of food to start the day. Two different ingredients: western breakfast food and japanese breakfast food. No need to explain the first category, but for the second part, you'd never guess what they offer at 7am ! I think they're trying to have lunch in the same time : spaghetti, pizza bred, soja soups, salads... nice... And the thing is, the cookers kinda push you to try the dishes... So, as a good foreigner you
and you take the plate !
For the other meals, I can't really tell you the name of what i eat, but it is really good, really japanese (i'll take pictures) and always healthy (yes mum, i'm having vegies !!). But i warn you : if you ever come to japan, you better like rice. I have rice every day at least once !! Second warning : you already look gaikokujin (外国人 foreigner) enough, so you must use chopsticks for every meal ! You better be trained, cause pealing a fishes skin with those isn't very convenient !

You want pictures, right ? I have to confess i'm not doing a lot of them, i went to the Tokyo Game Show and only took 4 or 5 pictures... Yes TGS is for geeks, yes it's only games previews and hostesses, and yes i was disappointed. TGS is supposed to be a quite big event in the video game's world (i guess because this is a world that i'm not really familiar with anymore). But it was ... small & cheap !! Only two buildings for the show and even if boothes were impressive in decoration, they weren't in hardware. I mean, there was people, a lot, but almost no video game devices to play... If you wanna try some game, wait 2hours ! I've made a quick video of the Square Enix booth, it doesn't show much but represents my time there : crowded.
Although I'm happy I went there, it made me realize i'm not really into video games anymore. It even seems complicated to me, so many games (gosh i feel old just saying this) !! And it is kinda sick seeing old people coming to just take pictures of hostesses... I've never seen anything like this before, women are literally "used" !! It's all about having a tiny skirt and smiling, that's business...

And there was also some crazy japanese people, dressed as their favorite characters !! It's impressive how hard they try to look like them...
Oh, i almost forgot ! I went out on friday "night" or should i say "evening" ! Yes, i was in a restaurant/bar in which you pay like 20€ and then everything is open bar ! Food as well as alcohol. Nice place ! I was there with a lot of american people from an exchange program. It was good to finally get to have a real conversation with someone. Not just saying "Hello, thank you, yes, bye bye" ! I got there at 7, and i was completely chocked to see the waitresses tyding out the tables and bars at 9 ! We had then an hour to leave, it was closing at 10.... pretty surprising as i was expecting a big night out... Now i definitly have to try a real night out, in roppongi (a neighbour in Tokyo). I'lll keep you posted about that .
