Ola Amigos !
No, don't worry, i'm not trying a third language, it's already hard enough to write two of them, and study a third one next to that ! Alright, so I know i owe you some explanations about this picture on the left ! If you're not french or didn't like to watch FR3 sunday night just before 7 sur 7 on TF1 (yes all of that are french programs on french tv... sorry), you may not understand the genius idea hidden behind this wonderful picture : the Cat's Eyes tadadaaaaa !! Thing is, i loved this cartoon and when i saw a coffee called "The Cat's Eye" i couldn't help myself taking a picture and telling you all that, eventhouth it's totally weird .
I saw this coffee on my way to 秋葉原 (Akihabara), the electric/electronic Town of Tokyo. You might not know, but you now have to remember the name of one of the "largest shopping areas on Earth for electronic, computer, anime, and otaku goods, including new and used items" (quote wikipedia). It is a crazy neighborhood near Tokyo (north east of Tokyo station i think). It is unbelievable how many stores are there. All of them looking very like in a market, with their 1 meter width stairs to go up the many (usually never less than 5) floors ! Every floor having its own speciality...

Yes, you can find everything electric there, from an old ISA sound card (ndr.: geek talking) to the newest, better, most complicated, most unusefull electronic device. This allows of course to make surprising discoveries, such as this picture above. I found a Sega Megadrive or NeoGeo, or every other kind of old devices for sell !!! It's really the place to be for "computer people". Even if you're not totally into that, this magically crowded place with sellers in front of their shops, selling by yelling discounts as in a fish market is to be seen !! Many people are distributing coupons along the street, trying to get you to enter their duty free shops ! (By the way, does anybody know how there could be some duty free shops in the middle of the japanese capital ? I mean, this is supposed to be in internationnal zones or something, no
?). This is the place I felt the less foreigner in Japan yet, cause many people from all around the globe are there to get cheap electronic devices !

Now you might wonder if this is really cheaper than anywhere else... Answer is ... yes ! for sure ! For example, i went there with the idea of checking prices of the sony PSP. It costs about 250€ in France (it's an expansive one, i know !). Well, here, eventhough it might be old school already (as i heard from a japanese friend), it costs only 19,000¥ which is about 140€ ! I gotta say I was so surprised... I bought one ! Anyway, that was to say that it's really an interesting place. It's fun to buy, but make sure you spend time looking for the cheapest and available article you can find in all the street before buying one or you may end up frustrated
).
Another funny thing, in the shops, the higher you get, the older you need to be . Yes, at the top of these shops, at the 5th floor, there are huge racks of Idol videos and stuff. Japanese people seems to love stars, especially 20-years old singing girls... Above Idols, are Hentai (X mangas) : DVD, games and so on... Above Hentai, are ... you know what's up there right ?

Next to all these shops, there are buildings only dedicated to games, games, games on several floors ! I took just one picture cause you probably already know these kind of places. But this game they were playing at is quite funny. There all playing on the same "map", having to lead battles around their world and having the same big, centered control screen displaying the last/best battles and the world positions of each troop.
Yes, i did it, i bought my key to the Japanese way of life ! A PSP ! . Next is the cellphone as soon as i get my 外国人カードー (Gaikokujin kaadoo Alien registration card). Should be trhough the week !
That's it, you now know where to go if you're huge fan of manga's characters or video games. There are even foreign video games (goof thing for me buy the way), and people ! Definitly a nice place to go shopping
