Hi there !! One week already and i'm back home, a monday night, after a long week end (Monday was a holiday here) ! I'm happy cause my week end was kinda busy . Saturday was the shopping day, and, as usual i spent money. But this time I took care of keeping some for my future japanese-way-of-life item : the cellphone
. It might sound usual but, as a foreigner and being here for only a couple months it's hard to keep contact with people, the cellphone is definitly a ´must have´ ! Anyway, i couldnt get it on saturday cause of a 'sold out' problem... gotta wait till wednesday... too bad ! I have to focus to not spend my money til then !!
Oh right, i didn't introduce you with my pictures, my bad. So, dear readers, this is 浅草寺 (Sensō-Ji) the oldest temple located in 東京 (oh come on, you should know this one now, it means Tokyo) (yes, i expect you to learn Japanese with me, it's in your best interest if you want to be able to read it at the end of my semester... all my blog in japanese...). It's a Buddhist Temple sitting in 浅草 (Asakusa) since 628 ! But it has been rebuilt after the american bombardments during World War II. So it looks quite not as old as you wish it does, but still, it's a good looking japanese temple we've got here !!!

Before coming to Japan, I told myself i'd have to visit some temples like that, just because it looks beautiful and peaceful. But I almost forgot to visit one before this week end ! So, ni une ni une (French expression, private joke) I decided this morning to take advantage of this extremely sunny and nice day to make from the dream a reality... (tell me if you think i'm doing too much around that stuff ). Anyway, the thing is, i don't have much to say since informations are always available on Wikipedia. I just hope you'll enjoy the picture as much as i did taking them...

On my way to this temple is another touristic place called 上野 (Ueno), an old temple with a huge parc. Unfortunately, i didn't take pictures of the temple and the pagode that were supposed to be there. First because i didn't see them and secondly because it's kind of in the zoo, inside the parc. Instead I took picture of the parc... By the way, i think they shouldn't have put tar on the ground, it just doesn't look very natural ...

To end the day, i walked down a very big market place called アメ横 (Ameyoko, try to click, there is many info on this site... , now you see how hard it is for me every day ! Even the language sounds like that when you don't understand anything). This place is huge, and i think it could be easy to get lost in the tiny streets full (and when i say full, i mean full) of shops of every kind. You can find fashion clothes next to fresh fishes shops !!! You can see the entry of the neighbourhood at the bottom of the second picture down here.

This market is supposed to propose cheap brands clothes but the cheapest pair of jeans i checked was 11,400¥... Well, i didnt look very deeply in the streets as i didnt have money... no way i find something very cool and i can't buy it, it would be too frustrating, i'd rather not look .
In a totaly different topic, i went out friday night at a quite nice club named Ageha. The place is good, and of course, the club is non-smoking except a tiny place for drug addict ! I met and talked to some crazy japanese people, that was a really nice night, people are friendly, i'll sure be back (and i have a coupon for next time !!! Yeah, well, it's a minimum since the entry is at the extraordinary expansive amount of 3500¥). Funny thing : watching tiny japanese people dressed as big black american rap singers. For a moment I thought i was back in Philly, a year ago, having fun with Bruno watching 50cent every block . So, no house music yet, but reggea was good and I had the very amazing chance to watch the sun rising at 5:30 or 6 AM, while dancing with fashion people in exterior, around a pool... Who said Japan doesn't look cool
.
